Verdant Verse

about

Veronica always loved plants and gardening since she was very small.

One of her earliest and most clear memories was the time she got lost in the hedge maze at her grandmother's estate.

The hedges loomed over her, and she was lost for hours. But she realized she was much less scared than she would have expected.

Veronica grew up studying botany and kept a rather sizable garden at home. She strongly believed that talking to plants helped them grow, and seemed to do so more than she did with any human friends.

One day, when she was an adult, she returned to her grandmother's hedge maze. But she was surprised. The hedges no longer loomed, and it all seemed so puny compared to what she knew in her memory.

By then, her grandmother had passed away and left the estate to her. So Veronica decided she would expand the maze into the verdant labyrinth she had always dreamed of.

She, a mere child, had eventually found her way out. That wouldn't do. She would give the plants free reign to work their beautiful, bewildering poetry.

No one would escape this labyrinth.
