Ominous Outpost

about

There was no end to Orson's difficulties in getting people to stay at his hotel.

For one thing, yes, it was awfully close to a "haunted" forest. Where almost no one would ever go. He admitted that was probably a bad move.

He felt it was unfair to consider his hotel any more haunted than anywhere else, though. There are ghosts everywhere, he advertised in one flyer. So what if they make themselves a bit more visible here?

Those who did come to the hotel found it very pleasant: great food, soft beds, quick service. But of those who left, few did anything to speak against the hotel's bad reputation.

Unfortunately, it was just too much for Orson to do anything meaningful about.

Mostly because he was dead.
