Natural Nap

Natalie was the guardian of the forest. And indeed, the forest needed a guardian. She was born from the will of the plants and creatures, after all.

The forest's ecosystem was very delicate, and humans merely passing through devastated it over time. Something had to be done, and Natalie was the force to do it.

She grew new plant species to replace the ones that humans had driven to extinction. Finally, the forest could thrive again.

But more importantly, these new plants ensured that prosperity would last. While they had a sweet smell, the spores they emitted quickly put humans to sleep.

Natalie only wanted peace. She knew that even the careless humans who had ruined her forest would do no harm, once in her arms.

So, yes, many humans have vanished into the forest, never to return.

But have you considered that maybe it's just comfortable here?
